CPSC's Program Plan - China

As an acknowledgement of the growing importance of imported consumer products manufactured in China that are under the jurisdiction of CPSC, a Memorandum of Understanding between CPSC and its counterpart, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the People’s Republic of China, was signed by both parties in April, 2004.

The first biennial Sino-American Consumer Product Safety Summit was a result of efforts conducted as part of this Program Plan. The Summit, conducted in August and September of 2005 in Beijing, China, was organized jointly by CPSC and AQSIQ.
