Groundbreaking Scheduled For Amistad Youth Crisis Shelter
Bernalillo County Commissioner Teresa L. Cordova, PhD., YDI Director Chris Baca and state legislators will celebrate the groundbreaking of the Amistad Youth Crisis Shelter tomorrow morning. The 6,000 square foot facility will accommodate 16 young adults who are in a crisis situation such as homeless or a runaway. The programming will include education and therapy and will be staffed 24 hours per day.

Hubbell House Alliance 2006 Membership Drive
The Hubbell House Alliance, in conjunction with Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation, is recruiting more volunteer members. Hubble House Alliance is a non-profit organization formed to preserve Bernalillo County’s Hubbell-Gutierrez House, an historic landmark in the South Valley. County Commissioner Teresa L. Cordova, Ph.D., will provide an update of reconstruction efforts at the event.
