MESSAGE
FROM THE SUPERVISOR'S OFFICE
I am pleased to welcome you to our web site. I hope that you will
find it both interesting and informative. We take pride in
Boston, and are always striving to improve our community and quality
of life. The beautiful hills and landscape make Boston a truly
special area in the south towns.
The town board meetings
are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, held in the courtroom,
located on the main level of the Town Hall. We begin at 7:30
p.m. and welcome all residents to attend. Additional special or
public meetings or hearings may be scheduled during the year are
publicized in advance in the Hamburg Sun and The Springville Journal
and on the Town's web site.
The Supervisor's Office
is located on the lower level of the Boston Town Hall. Our regular
office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Supervisor acts as the
Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer of the Town.
The Supervisor is responsible for filing the Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report to the State Comptrollers Office. The Supervisor
plays a vital role in various committees and activities happening
in the town and surrounding area.
The Supervisor's Office
manages the daily operation of the Town, such as accounting, budgeting,
payroll and personnel matters. The Supervisor's duties also
include working closely with the town's grant writer to secure state
and federal funding. The Supervisor directs various major
town projects, such as new water districts and oversees the related
administrative duties involved.
If you have any
questions or concerns, I would be happy to address them; just call
