Capacity Enhancement Funding Chart

From 2004 to 2006, the DNA Capacity Enhancement Program has offered an opportunity for States and units of local government with existing crime laboratories that conduct DNA analysis to improve laboratory infrastructure and analysis capacity so that DNA samples can be processed efficiently and cost-effectively.

In 2007, the DNA Capacity Enhancement Program was merged with the Forensic Casework DNA Backlog Reduction Program to create a single Forensic DNA Backlog Reduction Program, which maintains the objectives of both programs.
