The Great Southern California ShakeOut The County of San Bernardino is encouraging county residents to get involved in the Great Southern California ShakeOut, a week of special events, to be held November 12-16, featuring the largest earthquake drill in U.S. history. Brats for Books All Set to Grill at Route 66 Rendezvous Once again the world's only BBQ grill that needs an 18-wheel tractor trailer to move it around, will be cooking up $3 brats to raise funds for the county library. 6th Annual ARMC Health and Safety Fair As part of a continuing effort to improve the health and safety of residents throughout San Bernardino County, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center will hold its sixth annual FREE health and safety fair for children and adults on Saturday, September 27th. All residents are invited to take advantage of extensive free health screenings, which include physician consultations. Extreme Heat In response to the extreme heat projected for San Bernardino County, the county is encouraging residents to exercise caution. Tips on coping with the heat and heat-related health issues can be found here. A list of 66 cooling stations throughout the county, where residents can go to escape the heat, can be found here. Residents are urged to call 911 for heat-related health emergencies, and 211 for additional information on how to beat the heat.
