CCSDS Packet Software Written at the Swift Data Center

This page lists a number of software tools for manipulating CCSDS packets. They are primarily written for use in the SDC's telemetry ingest front-end, but they are potentially useful for everyone. Older releases of these packages are available on request.

Squirt (scripting language for manipulating telemetry)

  • Version 1.0 2003-03-13
Squirt is a very powerful tool for viewing, filtering and modifying Swift telemetry. It is actually a scripting language which acts a bit like "awk" for packets. You can view its README file. Squirt requires the "packets" library available below.

Packets Package

Xing (Java packet browser/editor)

  • Version 3.0 2003-03-13
This version adds search capability, and pages the parsed window much more efficiently. There are a number of additions to the swift format, and a few other non CCSDS formats are included for your amusement.
