Ground-Water Information
Current ground-water information maps are listed by county, categorized by water table or confined aquifer*, with 5 year information. Click the maps for more information. This information is based on monthly readings from selected wells in the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center. Monthly conclusions are explained in detail in the monthly press release.
Groundwater levels are used to gauge water conditions and may be used to predict the potential for flooding and drought conditions.
* water levels in confined aquifer wells are affected more directly by pumpage than by climatic conditions |
