Following on from the success of the 1st Annual Women on the Water (WOW) Conference held in Traverse City, Michigan, WOW's 2nd Annual Conference will provide an open forum for discussions highlighting current issues affecting women in the maritime industry. In this event you will hear from professional experts in the maritime community regarding such issues as environmental changes, human factors affecting mariners at sea, industry trends, emerging employment opportunities, and regulatory changes affecting the maritime industry. This will be an invaluable opportunity for maritime cadets to network, build relationships, share experiences and learn about the industry from those women currently leading the industry. Who Should AttendMidshipmen, Cadets, Maritime Associations, Ship Operators, Ship Owners, Ship Managers, Seafarer & Trade Union Representatives, Maritime Lawyers, Maritime Academy Representatives and Maritime Industry Representatives Information and RegistrationThe conference fee will be waived for all current female Maritime Academy Cadets from the Texas Maritime Academy at Texas A&M University at Galveston, California Maritime Academy, Great Lakes Maritime Academy, Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Maritime College State University of New York, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Lodging and meals will be provided to cadets at no charge. The conference fee for professional participants will be $200, payable to Texas A&M University at Galveston.
