Joseph
Lash was born on December 2, 1909, in New York
City. Joseph Lash joined the Socialist Party in
1929 and resigned in 1937. He worked on several
committees with Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of
President Franklin Roosevelt. She tried to get
him a commission in the Naval Intelligence Service.
Joseph Lash was inducted into the Army on April
29, 1942. In 1951, he was a journalist for the
New York Post. In 1954, Lash was the Press Agent
for the United Nations. Joseph Lash was the subject
of Hoover's Official and Confidential files.
