2009 Inaugural Events

Tickets

Tickets for the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony will be distributed in January 2009 by both Senators and Representatives of the 111th Congress.

Balls

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC)—established after the November election—is responsible for all balls and galas hosted in honor of the newly-elected President.

Parade

Requests to participate in Inauguration day events for marching bands, marching units, mounted units, and other performers are collected by the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee. The Presidential Inaugural Committee, formed after the November election, selects the participants from the collected requests.
