The Policy Council is APPAM's governing board and is responsible for setting policy and creating strategy for the Association. Elections for the new four person cohort on the Policy Council, a Vice President and a Treasurer begins on Dec. 15!

2017 Regional Student Conferences

APPAM will host two regional student conferences in 2017 to be held in DC and CA in April. The proposal submission period is open November 30 to January 18th!

 
2017 International Conference

2017 International Conference in Brussels

The 2017 International Conference will be held July 13 &14 in Brussels, Belgium and is sponsored by MGSoG / UNU-MERIT (Maastricht University) and Syracuse University. The proposal submission period is open until January 31st.

Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy and APPAM are hosting an Institutional Member forum on February 17, 2017 which will explore how research being conducted in universities is informing policy. Discussion will include the role of practitioners in making policy, researcher/policymaker partnerships, and some strategies to bridge the gap between policy research and practice.

Monday, December 19, 2016
APPAM is now accepting proposal submissions for two Regional Student Conferences which will be held in April 2017. During these conferences, students will present research across a wide variety of policy areas, through poster sessions and on conference panels with their peers. Both Masters and Ph.D. students are encouraged to submit proposals for these conferences. Submissions for both conferences will be accepted until January 18, 2017.

MDRC’s Center for Applied Behavioral Science (CABS) and the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) hosted a forum which will explore the future of behavioral science research, practice, and policy. This event brought together distinguished experts from MDRC, academia, and the government to share their work and provide insight on next steps for research, practice, and policy.
