Capitol Grounds: This tour reveals stories of past government elections and interesting facts about the legendary granite building. Actual dome stands 14 feet higher than nation's capitol in Washington, D.C. Tours run Sat. - Sun. at 9 a.m.

Congress Avenue & East Sixth Street Tour: This 10-block National Historic Registered District tour weaves through downtown revealing history of Congress Ave. Continues along nine-block Sixth Street district and highlights Victorian archi-tecture dating back to mid-1800s. Tours run Thurs. - Sat. at 9 a.m. and Sun. at 2 p.m.

Bremond Block Tour: Walk through most distinguished block in downtown Austin. Once considered as most refined and eminent neighborhoods owned by a single family. John Bremond Sr., family patriarch, successfully built this block with Victorian houses and lush landscapes. Tours depart Sat. & Sun. promptly at 11 a.m.

The Driskill Hotel: Built in 1886 by cattle baron Col. Jesse L. Driskill, offers a tour through the beautiful corridors and spaces. Learn about myths, legends, and facts about Driskill and his family while walking through the property. At Sixth and Brazos sts.

Hyde Park Tour: Self-guided tour; Victorian and bungalow-style homes along tree-shaded streets in historic neighborhood. Elisabet Ney built her studio here. Hyde Park is just north of downtown and the Univ. of Texas, roughly between 38 1/2 St. and 45th St.

Texas State Cemetery: Self-guided tour. Begins in the middle of Road Spur 165, the shortest state highway in Texas. Seven blocks east of I-35 at East Seventh and Navasota sts.
