The museum, operated by the Gulf Coast Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, preserves and displays a collection of equipment, artifacts and memorabilia related to the history of railroading in and around Houston, Texas, and the U.S. Some of the items on display include a multi-bedroom sleeping car, two functional cabooses, and a Texas-Mexican railroad locomotive. The museum's visitor center is housed in former Santa Fe baggage car. Admission Fee.
