Texas Military Forces Museum

City: Austin | Region: Hill Country

Features extensive collection of artifacts that detail the history of the military in Texas, from the Alamo to current deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. Don't miss the Armor Row and Artillery Park, home to more than 30 tanks and artillery pieces used by the military in wars from World War II to present. Also included in the display is a Soviet vehicle used by the Iraqi Army which was captured during Operation Desert Storm, and various Germany artillery pieces. Visitors must enter through main security gates of Camp Mabry; be sure to have some form of photo ID available.
