On October 14, 1890, Dwight D. Eisenhower was born in a two-story white frame house at 208 E. Day St., son of a worker in the nearby Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railway shops. Home restored to 1890 appearance by Eisenhower Birthplace Foun-da-tion; operated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as a State Historic Site. Admission fee.
