Deaf Smith County Historical Museum

City: Hereford | Region: Panhandle Plains

Housed in the first Catholic school building, which is listed as an Official Texas Historical Site. Exhibits include a country store, chapel, a schoolroom, unique hand-carved miniature three-ring circus, historic fashions, and Indian and western artifacts. The outside exhibits include a Santa Fe caboose, early day jail cell, a replica of the first half-dugout, a wagon barn, windmill and farm implements. No admission fee.
