Museum features a permanent collection including works by N.C.
Wyeth, Marc Chagall, James Whistler and is housed across the street
from the Gladys Porter Zoo. The Museum is the owner/caretaker of
the historic Neale House built in 1834, said to be the oldest frame
house in the city, and the original Fort Brown bandstand. The
17,000-square foot facility is dedicated to art awareness and
educational opportunties for all. The more than 70-year-old
organization has several annual special exhibitions including the
International Art Show and the Student International Art Show.
