Bought by Conrad Hilton in 1919 when that was the only way he could get a place to sleep, hotel became first in Hilton chain. Hilton saw a financial opportunity in providing rooms to oil field workers; rooms were rented for eight-hour shifts, thus tripling the normal income. Restored, the hotel now serves as a landmark community center, museum and city park. Also home to Cisco Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Center.
