This state park has almost 300,000 acres in the Chihuahuan Desert wilderness encompassing desert, mountains, canyons, and the Rio Grande. Hiking, backpacking, nature study, river rafting, and canoeing available. Entrance and user fees. Visitors check in at Barton Warnock Environmental Education Center in Lajitas or Fort Leaton State Historic Site in Presidio.
