Texas has established rebate contracts with the manufacturers of infant formula and infant cereal. This means that, when issuing Food Instruments to WIC participants, the primary infant formula and infant cereal prescribed will be made by the contracted manufacturer. Currently, Mead Johnson has the infant formula contract providing powder and concentrate: Enfamil® with Iron, Prosobee® and Lactofree®. Gerber provides the Rice, Oatmeal, Barley and Mixed infant cereals without fruit.
