Patient Safety

In response to nationwide concerns regarding patient safety and the evolution of mandatory reporting programs across the country, House Bill 1614 was introduced during the 78th Legislation session. The bill became law on June 20, 2003. The legislation affects hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers and private mental hospitals.
