The South Texas Chapter of the Health
Physics Society is a professional society that was organized and
chartered in 1964 with the following objectives:

Developing scientific knowledge in the
study of radiation

Devising practical means to protect people
and their environment from harmful effects of radiation

Providing and supporting meetings to discuss
scientific endeavors

Encouraging scientific research and education
dedicated to the science of radiation protection

Aiding in research/education opportunities in
health physics and radiation protection for college and university
students
