TCID Campus

Prominently located in southeast San Antonio, TCID has a beautifully landscaped campus that provides a peaceful and restful environment for healing.  Since fresh air and sunshine are essential to recuperation, the campus is designed to provide many areas for outdoor activities or for you just to sit and read.

Patient care is TCID's most important mission.  The skilled, experienced nursing staff is available 24 hours a day to help patients progress in their care and treatment.  Each patient's treatment is carefully planned with input ranging from dietitians and social workers to therapists and chaplain to help meet each individual's needs.

Treatment may be long term.  With this in mind, patients are offered a variety of recreational and educational opportunities.  It is the mission of the staff to help you until your TB treatment is complete, and to prepare you for your return to your community so you will not need to be treated at TCID again.

TCID provides a variety of activities during your stay.  Patients are encouraged to utilize the physical therapy facility, with its wide range of exercise equipment.  Patient activities are directed through certified Recreational Therapists based on each patient's individual plan.

Activities are available as either group or individual activities and include:
