This group maintains a surveillance program to monitor vector activities involving mosquito-borne diseases such as encephalitis, and identifies various arthropods that pose a health hazard. Arthropods are submitted by physicians, local health agencies, TDSHS regional offices, the general public, and the arbovirus surveillance submitter network.
