Records Retention Schedule by Program
The Texas Department of State Health Services records retention schedule was re-certified on November 2, 2006. This is the result of a year long inventory of records. The retention schedule is based on the DSHS organizational chart.
(By agreement among the HHS Records Management Officers, DSHS also is the record holder of legacy agency MHMR records in storage.)
Records in the current Department of State Health Services may be found in the individual files listed below. If you cannot find the records applicable to an organizational division, section, unit, branch or group, please contact a Records Coordinator or the Records Management office.
