Vaccination Coverage Levels in in Registered and Licensed Childcare Facilities in Texas

This survey is conducted biannually to assess vaccination coverage levels of children attending a childcare facility and to monitor compliance with new and existing vaccine requirements at licensed child care center (LCCC) / registered child care home (RCCH) in Texas. A random sample of childcare facilities is selected for the survey every other year. Local health department and DSHS staff review a random sample of immunization records from each selected childcare facility. Statewide and regional vaccination coverage levels are available for children ages 19 – 59 month s of age attending childcare facilities in Texas.

*** Since the hepatitis A (Hep A) vaccine was only recently licensed for children as young as 12 months of age, the analysis was restricted to children 24 – 59 months of age (previously hepatitis A vaccine was licensed for children 24 months of age and older).
