SH 146: from Red Bluff to FM 518
Widen to Six Lanes with Two Three-Lane Frontage Roads

The Houston District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is studying improvements to a three-mile section of SH 146, from Red Bluff to south of the Galveston/Harris county line. The proposed improvements would widen the roadway to six lanes, with two three-lane frontage roads.
