TxDOT employees are automatically enrolled in the state's retirement plan,
administered by the
Employees Retirement
System of Texas (ERS). Six percent of
your salary (before taxes) will be contributed to the ERS retirement fund, and
the state contributes 6.45 percent.
If you want to invest more than 6 percent of your salary toward retirement,
we also offer
401(k) and 457
plans through the
Texa$aver program.
