November 2007 — Fort Leaton SHS — Pancho Villa Rides Again! — Pancho rides into Fort Leaton and will be staying with us a while. This traveling exhibit, on loan from the Museum of the Big Bend at Sul Ross State University, tells the story of the Battle of Ojinaga that occurred just across the river from Fort Leaton and was a turning point in the Mexican Revolution. 8 a.m.-4 p.m. daily; fee $3 includes entry fee to museum; advance reservations required for groups. November 2007 — Fort Richardson SP&HS & Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway — Guided Historical Tours — This Ranger-led tour takes place on the actual 1867 fort grounds and includes six of the remaining seven original historic buildings. November 2007 — Monahans Sandhills SP — Texas Camel Treks — Experience a slice of the Sahara and the Bedouin way of life in the West Texas desert while on this camel-assisted walking trek where the camels carry all your gear. Discover the flora, fauna, history and prehistory of the park. Participants will learn to load, unload and work the camels as we move through the dunes and must be able to walk three-to-five-miles per day in the sand dunes. Minimum of three participants. November 2007 — Seminole Canyon SP&HS — Fate Bell Cave Dwelling Tour — Every Wednesday through Sunday. Go on a two-mile, walking tour of this dramatic rock shelter site in a deep, limestone canyon. The shelter contains 4,000 year-old Pecos River Style pictographs, among the oldest, most colorful and distinctive ancient paintings in all of the Americas.
