Tocker Foundation Announces Grantees
The Tocker Foundation of Austin has approved grants for the first
funding period in the year 2001. Grants were approved for the
total amount of $856,569 to 53 Texas libraries. Approved grants
included requests for collection enhancement, shelving, library
automation, equipment and many innovative library projects.
The Tocker Foundation accepts applications from rural public
libraries in Texas that serve a population of 12,000 or less.
Application deadlines are January 15th and June 1st. Application
forms and guidelines may be found online at www.tocker.org. All
applications must be reviewed by Texas State Library or regional
library System staff before being submitted.
