Child Protective Services (CPS)

CPS offers services to children in foster care and their families. Some of the services we purchase include but are not limited to:

  • Parent training
  • Evaluation and treatment services
  • Social studies, and
  • Family Preservation Services.

Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD)

Our agency in accordance with SB 290 will post procurement opportunities greater than $25,000 on the Texas Marketplace Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD).

Division of Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI)

The Division of Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) manages community-based programs designed to prevent delinquency, abuse, neglect and exploitation of Texas children, elderly and disabled adults. PEI also helps local communities enhance services provided by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). Community- based service providers interested in PEI funding opportunities should routinely visit the Texas Department of Economic Development's Electronic State Business Daily at Texas Marketplace Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD). The following community services are procured every four years:

  • Parent training
  • Community youth services
  • Community prevention programs

Other services procured for on an as needed basis:

  • Program evaluation
  • Technical assistance
