Coastal Fisheries Bay Team
Experienced Anglers Wanted.
If you're a skilled angler you could become a member of the Coastal Fisheries Bay Team and help Texas Parks and Wildlife catch spotted sea trout and flounder for its hatchery breeding program. Each Coastal Fisheries Bay Team tournament is open to 30 two-person teams, 60 people total, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration takes place on-site the day of each tournament. There is no entry fee, but all entrants must be 21 years old or older.
At each tournament, anglers who bring in fish will have their names put in for three drawings (these three items will be drawn for three different people that bring in fish):
- Shimano Calcutta 200B on a Texas Tackle Factory Rod,
- Garmin Etrex GPS,
- Boga grip
Participants who do not bring in fish will also have their name put into a pot for a drawing on a Shimano Cruxis reel. Every participant will receive a shirt and cap.
For more information, or if you want to become a member of the Coastal Fisheries Bay Team, please send an email with your name, address, and daytime phone number to Robert Adami at robert.adami@tpwd.state.tx.us and be sure to let him know which tournament you can fish. You can also call Robert at (361) 939-8745.
