Welcome to the Eighth Court of Appeals

The Eighth Court of Appeals was created by legislature in 1911. The Court is composed of a Chief Justice and two justices. It is an intermediate appellate court with jurisdiction over criminal and civil appeals from the 17 counties listed below. The panel of Judges, which preside over the court, review the cases appealed and issue opinions on these cases. The 8th Court of Appeals is located in El Paso.
