Welcome to the Court Reporters Certification Board (CRCB) of Texas - Home Page.

The Mission of the Court Reporters Certification Board is to certify, to the Supreme Court of Texas, qualified court reporters to meet the growing needs and expectations of the public through statewide certification and accountability.

  • EXAM SCHEDULE CHANGES: Effective January 2008, please be advised that the exam day for the CSR skills exams has changed from Fridays to Thursdays. Due to unavailability of the UT - Law School, the written knowledge test has changed from Fridays to Wednesday’s at the Joe C. Thompson Conference Center auditorium. Additionally, be advised that the September 27, 2007 written knowledge exam will be held on Thursday in the auditorium of the Joe C. Thompson Conference Center. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.


  • Change made by Supreme Court regarding 10 Pitch (Effective 11/01/04):
    Section 5 PITCH, 5.1 Character Spacing. The pitch (characters per inch) to be used is 9 or 10.
