The Audit Office conducts independent appraisals and reports to the
Texas Transportation Commission.
The office does audits of internal operations, negotiated and cost-reimbursement contracts and grants with external
entities. It works on about 670 contracts a year through site audits, desk
reviews, exception ratios, evaluations and pre-negotiation reports. The office also
conducts independent and objective reviews of TxDOT operations and procedures to
ensure they are functioning as intended. |
