04/02/07: Earned Income Credit and Tax (EITC) Assistance from the IRS

Here are publications: EITC Poster (Pub 1495E); EITC Brochure (Pub 962) and EITC Questions and Answers (Pub 3211). Please call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to locate the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) free tax preparation site nearest you. Representatives can locate a VITA site by Zip Code or County. The IRS website site www.irs.gov has a lot of information about EITC, and an EITC Assistant which is a Web-based tool for determining eligibility.
