Input Sought on Insurance Disclosure

The Supreme Court of Texas has asked the State Bar Board of Directors to recommend whether Texas lawyers should disclose professional liability insurance (PLI) coverage. TBLS Public Hearing on Amendments to Standards
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization will hold a public hearing Sept. 30, 2009, on proposed amendments to certification standards for civil trial law, labor and employment law, and personal injury trial law. Read the details.

Roland JohnsonState Bar President Roland Johnson (pictured) has introduced AfterTheBarExam.com, with resources for law graduates who have taken the bar exam and are awaiting their results. Participants should cmplete online coursework by Nov. 6, 2009. Another new program, Transition to Practice, is a mentoring program for new lawyers (pdf materials) based on a program by the Dallas Bar Association.
