Short Film Cinema Television Program - Call for Entries

Short Film Cinema, a weekly television program is looking for short films with Christian, Inspirational, or Family Value themes. Short Film Cinema is committed to giving a platform to established and upcoming filmmakers that promote wholesome entertainment.

Filmmakers will need to have complete rights and releases for their films and music soundtracks. Films will not be returned unless a self addressed postage paid envelope is included with submission.

13th San Antonio Underground Film Festival - Call for Entries

The San Antonio Underground Film Festival is accepting short and feature length films. Grand Prize receives a lowrider bicycle or $200 cash. Regular Entry: $35, Late entries: $50. Entry forms available thru www.safilm.com. Submission on DVD or VHS Tape.

Texas Filmmaker's Showcase - Call for Entries

The Houston Film Commission's Texas Filmmaker's Showcase is a special screening event of the best of Texas-made short films/videos presented to studio executives, agents and producers in the Hollywood film community. The filmmakers whose projects are selected to participate will be flown from Texas to Los Angeles and provided with an evening's accomodation and transportation to and from the screening. Please mail you short film(s) any time on or before March 1st 2007. It is FREE to enter but an official Entry Form must be accompany each film submission. The Rules for Submission are: Filmmaker must be a Texas resident; entry must be under 45 minutes in length; Filmmaker can submit up to three different films/videos if they have never been submitted before; And the entry must not be over three years older than the deadline for submission. Austin Women's Film, Music & Literary Festival - Call for Entries

At the Media Arts & Literacy Institute, we are recognizing the parallels between the film, music and literary industries- All dominated in such a way women continue to still strive for positive media acknowledgment. This festival is doing its part in closing the gender divide with in the entertainment industry. Running for its 7th year, The 2007 Austin Woman’s Film, Music & Literary Festival formally under the name of Blowin’ Up A Spot! Film Festival: A Woman’s Perspective is having an open call for female filmmakers, musicians, actors, workshop presenters, spoken word artist and screenwriters to submit their work and perform. A festival wholly focused on the contributions of women; with a special emphasis on showcasing women of Latin, African, African American, Asian & Native American decent. EARLY DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS February 17, 2007 (POSTMARK). LATE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS March 17, 2007 (POSTMARK). This event will take place April 26 – 29, 2007 in Austin, Texas. This is a non- profit event supported by the City Of Austin and the Texas Commission of the Arts. All proceeds to benefit the Media Arts & Literacy Institute (MALI).

OPEN SCREEN SHOWCASE
This section will make up 70% of the programming and the film times may run as Short as (10-30 minutes) or feature-length (45-90 minutes) in any of the following genres: Narrative Films, New Media/Experimental, Documentary Films, Music Videos – check website for guidelines

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING SHOWCASE
This section will make up 30% of the programming and the film times may run as Short as (10-30 minutes) or feature-length (45-90 minutes) in any of the following genres: World Justice Media, Women in Music, A Young Seed- check website for guidelines.

There are 20 screening slots available and the selected filmmakers will have a chance to win the “Best Of The Fest”. Winner of the “Best Of The Fest” in the film section will win from Blowin’ Up A Spot! Studios: 20 hours of free editing time or a free professional graphic cover design for your DVD or one free travel pass to the Austin Woman’s Film, Music & Literary Festival or $100.00 cash. Your choice! All filmmakers will be placed on a Q&A feedback panel and featured on the “M.A.L.I SPRING” complication DVD! Filmmaker retains all copyrights to their work. The winners are picked by a peer board selection. The “Best Of The Fest” offer applies to early submission entries only.
