The Texas Film Commission, a division of the Office of the Governor, has been assisting filmmakers since 1971 with a complete range of film-related services. The film commissions internship program offers college students the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of and gain experience in the film, animation and video game industries. We are seeking students with excellent communication skills who want to learn how these industries work and contribute to the film commissions efforts to promote and expand the Texas film industry. Internships are offered each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer) to undergraduate and graduate students. Applications from recent graduates or anyone not currently enrolled in a college or university degree program will not be considered. Interns work 10 20 hours per week and are eligible to receive course credit. The internship is a volunteer position and is not paid. Past interns have gone on to work on productions such as SIN CITY, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, THE ALAMO, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2003) and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO. They have also landed positions at companies like MIRAMAX, LUCASFILM, NBC, CAA and WILLIAM MORRIS. INTERN DUTIES
