Available Positions:

  • Concept Artist - In collaboration with the studio and project leads, the Concept Artist will develop and maintain the artistic vision for our title. A broad knowledge of different visual styles and the willingness to try something new are required. Additionally, the ability to work beyond the concept phase and provide ancillary support to the art team throughout production is highly desirable.
  • Character Artist - In collaboration with the Art Director and Concept Artist, the Character Artist will model and texture original, high-quality 3D characters. The ideal candidate should be able translate concepts accurately and rapidly iterate on own work. The ability to create high-quality, animation-ready models in a variety of styles (realistic proportion to comic) is required.
  • Animator - In collaboration with the Art Director and other project leads, the Animator will maintain the vision and style of character movement for the project. A willingness to rapidly prototype and iterate upon various movement concepts in a variety of styles is required. In addition to rigging, weighting, and animating 3D character models, the Animator will also contribute to development of pre-rendered and in-engine dramatic sequences.
  • AI Programmer - In collaboration with the team and Technical Director, the AI Programmer will develop and document systemic artificial intelligence behaviors and navigation systems. Additionally, the AI Programmer will help us reach our character aesthetic goals by making our characters move and behave believably in a dynamic and highly interactive environment.

  • Cross-Platform Executive Producer (Austin) - Need a strong Executive Producer in coordinating of products across platforms, keeping strong communication amongst the teams, and making sure all products get done in parallel and on-time.
  • IT Manager (Austin) - Manager will expand and maintain existing network infrastructure, as well as maintain internal databases.
  • Quality Assurance Manager (Austin) - Manage and track quality assurance process for exciting Massively Multiplayer Online gaming products.
  • Software Engineers (Austin) - Creative, highly accomplished and skilled technical professionals are needed to architect, design, develop and build a massively multiplayer online game platform. Looking for all levels of engineers.
  • Video Game Platform Programmers (Dallas) - Creative, highly accomplished and skilled technical professionals are needed to architect, design, develop and build a massively multiplayer online game platform. Opportunities are available for entry level to senior positions.
  • Artists (Austin) - Artists must be highly skilled in one or more of the following: modeling, animating, rigging, environment building, texturing, or technical art. Opportunities available for all levels of artist.
  • Concept Artists - We're looking for concept artists, mainly for character work, though we will look at environments as well. Must have done high-level concept work for other games. Job is for a contract basis only.

Oct. 31, 2006 - UNTITLED NINTENDO DS PROJECT

Amaze Entertainment Austin seeks experienced individuals for a high profile Nintendo DS title.

Start Date: Immediate
Available Positions:

  • Producer - Organized, creative individual to lead the development of project. The ideal candidate has worked as a producer on shipped titles, and is able to set the vision for the game and lead the team and client relationship to fulfill that vision.
  • Lead Programmer - Experience with the DS, PSX, D64 or GBA is a strong plus. The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience and at least two shipped titles.
  • Lead Game Designer - The ideal candidate has at least three years' experience as a video game designer. Experience in handheld games is a plus.
  • Animator - Needed to provide character animation for project. The ideal candidate has strong familiarity with Maya and plugins, and one years' experience creating animation for published game titles.
