Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery Support Services For Probationers

Project Overview

Services are currently available to all adult clients under community supervision in Bexar, Brooks, Burnet, Collin, Dallas, El Paso, Ft. Bend, Grayson, Harris, Jim Wells, Lubbock, Tarrant, and Travis counties. Currently services are available for juvenile probationers in Bexar, Dallas, Lubbock,Tarrant, and Travis county. Services will be available soon for adult probation clients in Grayson county.

Providers are reimbursed through a voucher for individual clients served. To learn more about these services you may contact your local OSAR/AP.

How Can Clients Participate?

Clients may be refered by local Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) Probation Department supervising officers or courts may refer the client to the local DSHS Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral agency/Assessment Provider (OSAR/AP).

Clients may self report to the Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral/Assessment Provider (OSAR/AP), the OSAR/AP will initiate services.

The AP through their outreach activity may identify clients at various provider locations and may initiate ATR services at that provider location.

To make a referal to ATR services contact the local OSAR/AP.

The AP will discuss with each client his or her treatment/recovery support needs and develop a voucher. Clients will select a provider of their choice from a list of approved treatment/recovery support service providers.


 

How Can Organizations Participate?

Organizations interested in providing treatment/recovery support services to clients should contact the local OSAR/AP and inform them that they want to participate in the ATR provider network. The AP staff person will schedule a meeting with your organization to initiate the process.

The organizations may complete an ATR enrollment application located on the ATR website and mail it in.
