November 21, 2005 – As the holidays approach, TSA urges air travelers to plan ahead for security procedures at the airport. With heavy passenger volume expected at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, TSA has created a Holiday Checklist to minimize delays by helping passengers prepare for the screening process. Following a few simple guidelines will help make passenger screening as efficient as possible. Thanks in advance for your cooperation -- and have a great holiday season.

Partnerships Key to Emergency Preparedness

November 4, 2005 – Secretary Chertoff discussed the importance of collaboration with partners throughout the first responder community and that Homeland Security is working “to provide firefighters with the resources and funding you need. Through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, just this year alone we will award more than $580 million to fire departments all across the country for operations and safety equipment. We have also put together a new incident management framework that puts all of us on the same page and provides an overarching structure for emergency preparedness.
