TEXFIRS Version 5.0 Training

VERSION 5.0 Reporting System Course
Presented by the State Fire Marshal's Office

This eight-hour training session will provide attendees with hands-on experience completing incident reports on paper forms using the new TEXFIRS/NFIRS 5.0 system. Class size is limited and registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The NFIRS 5.0 Reference Guide can serve as a reference and instructional tool for departments looking for detailed information on Version 5.0.

An introduction to NFIRS 5.0 is available as a self-study course offered through the National Fire Academy of the USFA. This course can be downloaded at http://www.usfa.fema.gov/nfirs/training/ and allows students to proceed at their own pace working through an overview of the data collection system, its modules and data conversion issues.

The Coding Questions Guide can serve as a reference for departments looking for assistance with coding incidents. Additional coding assistance can be found on the USFA website or on the NFIC website.
