Directions to TPWD Headquarters

TPWD Headquarters is located at 4200 Smith School Road in southeast Austin near Ben White Blvd., on the way to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA).

From central Austin:

Proceed south on IH 35, take the Ben White exit, and stay on the frontage road.
Proceed to the intersection, turn left (east) under IH 35.
Once past the Ben White/IH 35 intersection (traveling east), proceed to the third intersection/light on Ben White (Hwy 71).
At the third intersection, turn right on to Montopolis (NOTE: the TPWD HQ sign).
Proceed about 1/8th mile to the next intersection at Burleson Road and turn left.
Proceed ½ mile, to the next intersection/light which is Smith School Road.
Turn right on to Smith School Road (NOTE: TPWD HQ sign on the corner).
Follow Smith School Road to the next TPWD HQ sign and turn right on to the winding road that leads up to the TPWD HQ Complex.

Parking is available on the left side of the main two-story building, properly marked as "Visitor Parking." The main entrance is the center of the main building that has the flag poles and the TPWD sign in front. Come in and proceed to the Security desk; sign in and ask for your party.
