January 13, 2007 — Goliad SP — Los Pastores - A Shephers's Play — Created when Spain came to the New World, shepherd's plays were used to teach Native Americans about Spanish culture and religion through song and dance. Come find out what it was like to be an 18th Century Native American new to the sights and sounds of Mission Espiritu Santo! February 10, 2007 — Goliad SP — Fitness Walk — Take a five mile fitness walk through the beautiful town of Goliad and the park on a paved hike and bike trail. See historic Mission Espiritu Santo and General Zaragosa Birthplace as part of the walk. Begin at the Goliad Community Center and enjoy a spaghetti lunch upon return. Sponsored by the Amigos of Goliad State Park, proceeds will enable the friends group to assist the park with the preservation of the mission. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; fee $10 per person (361) 645-3405. April 2007 — Goliad SP — Easter at the Mission — Come to Mission Espiritu Santo and celebrate a musical Easter season! You are invited to attend a concert by the Victoria College Choir and the Victoria Civic Chorus under the direction of Dr. Marylynn Fletcher. Held in the old mission chapel. April 21, 2007 — Goliad SP — Music at the Mission — The Beeville Community Chorus under the direction of Dr. James Lee will present a selection of songs celebrating the return of Spring.
