March 3, 2007Caddoan Mounds SHSFormal Museum and Trail Tour — The museum will not only have it normal decor of murals, pictures and artifacts, but will also have an assortment of historical pictures on display, including verbal interpretation of the site's archeological past studies. A thorough examination of the importance of archeological research and surveys, purpose in the importance of this historic site, and connection to how modern day history can relate will be given. 9 a.m.-noon; fees free for Texas State Parks Pass members, $2 non-members, $1 senior citizens and free for children 12 and under (936) 858-3218. March 24, 2007Caddoan Mounds SHSAstronomy — Using telescopes including a 10-inch Dobsonian, visitors will be able to see the rings of Saturn, craters of our moon, a star being born (the great Orion nebula) and other celestial objects, as well as workshops on learning to find constellations and major stars and planets. You may also bring your own telescope to share for viewing or if you have questions. 7:30-9 p.m. weather permitting (936) 858-3218.
