Swimming in State Parks
From spring fed rivers to Texas sized lakes, open ocean swims to diving in a pool. Texas State Parks offer a full range of swimming options.
Many of the swimming pools are open seasonally or close occasionally for maintenance. Parks may temporarily close their swimming areas because of environmental conditions like drought or flooding. Please check with the individual park or call park information (1-800-792-1112) to verify that swimming will be available during your visit.
