January 6, 2007 — World Birding Center - Estero Llano Grande SP — Resolution Solution: New Year's in the Park — Keep your New Year's resolution and come to the park to walk, jog or ride your bike. April 11, 2007 — San Angelo SP — Silver Bluebonnet Event — Senior citizens are invited to the park as guests of the Friends of San Angelo State Park. Seminars will be given by local enthusiasts on wildflowers, birds and the park's bison. Park trailer tours will also be provided. May 5, 2007 — San Angelo SP — Free Day in the Park — Families can enjoy a variety of events such as canoeing, biking, hiking, geocaching, kite flying, horseback riding, bird watching, fishing or take a mini-tour to see the Bison, Texas longhorns and prairie dogs. Hosted by the park and Friends of San Angelo State Park. Enter through the South Shore Gatehouse. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; free admission for event (325) 949-4757.
