Certified Scales

Certified scales (electronic or spring type) have been certified as accurate by the Texas Department of Agriculture, the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), or an independent scales calibration company.

This is not intended to be a complete list of available scales. If you don't see one listed for your area, contact a local game warden or try the telephone directory. Feed stores, fertilizer plants, marinas and bait stores are good places to look. Certified hand-held scales may also be used for verifying the weight of your catch.
