The State of Texas celebrates the Texas Legation Records (1836-1845)
The state library will unveil the newly restored Texas Legation Records for the first time in a ceremony and public viewing on Fri., Nov. 3, at 1:00 p.m., in the Texas State Archives Reading Room, 1201 Brazos, Austin. The presentation will acknowledge the efforts of Texas Christian University, Texas State Historical Association, and private donors who made it possible for the collection to join the Texas State Archives. The Texas State Library Submits its Budget Request for
FY08-09
TSLAC submitted its Legislative Appropriations Request for FY08-09.
The request includes a reduced base budget and two requests for
additional funding.

The Texas State Library to Undergo Sunset Review
The Texas Sunset Advisory Commission released its Staff Report on
Sep. 20, which outlines four issues and six recommendations for
change at the state library. Visit

TSLAC proposes changes to the Texas Library Systems program.
The Texas State Library and Archives Commission has proposed changes
within the Texas Library Systems program, the program that provides
regional support to public libraries in Texas. TSLAC has prepared
a document with answers to the frequently asked questions it has
received regarding these proposed changes. The document includes
